Out Of Hours

Evening and Weekend appointments are pre-bookable only by contacting your usual GP Practice. There is no walk in service offered.

If you require urgent assistance before 8am or after 6.30pm please call 111.

Pre-bookable appointments with a Rushcliffe GP, Nurse or Healthcare Assistant are available

Monday to Friday - 6.30pm to 8pm Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday - 8.30am to 12:30pm

Extended Hours

All General Practices in Rushcliffe are working together to provide an evening (6.30pm to 8pm) and weekend (8.30am to 12.30pm) service. Only one or sometimes two practices are open during these times but can be used by any Rushcliffe patient.

These appointments are for the following types of problems and are ideal for the working population.

For GP’s

  • New Pains
  • New Rashes
  • New Problems


For Nurses

  • Dressings
  • Smear Tests
  • NHS Health Checks

For Healthcare Assistants

  • Blood Pressure Checks
  • ECG’s
  • Ear Syringing

If you need to see a GP urgently or are acutely unwell, you should be seen as normal through your usual practice.

Rights and Responsibilities of Patients

The service team are committed to giving you the best possible care and attention at all times. In return we expect you to be courteous and show consideration to us and other patients.

The service has a zero tolerance policy.

Please arrive within good time for your appointment and advise the receptionist you have arrived.

Always cancel unwanted appointments at the earliest opportunity.

Accessibility Information

All the Extended Hours locations have access for wheelchairs and disabled toilets.


The Service welcomes all comments, compliments and complaints from patients. We make every effort to give the best care possible to everyone attending this service. Your experience can be captured through the use of a brief feedback form following an Extended Hours appointment.

We would encourage all patients to complete this when they use the service.

If you would like to make a suggestion regarding the quality and effectiveness of the service we offer, or wish to make a complaint, please speak to the GP, nurse, Healthcare Assistant or reception.

A copy of our complaints policy is available at reception.

Patient confidentiality

Everyone working in the NHS has a legal duty to keep information about you confidential.

When using the service, we will ask you to consent to the clinician accessing your medical records and for the outcome of your appointment be shared back to your usual GP Practice.

Anyone who receives information from us is also under a legal duty to keep your information confidential.

Our guiding principle is that we hold your records in strict confidence.
